The Viper’s smaller sensor results in a more zoomed in field of view, and with over twice the resolution, it also offers more detail and higher pixels per meter. *Product images may differ depending on configuration. The Viper has a wider wide angle as well as a further zoom as it utilizes a motorized doubler that can be toggled on and off. LOW LIGHT PERFORMANCE The Viper’s sensor has excellent low light performance, resulting in better images at night. The smaller 10μm pixels of the Viper’s thermal sensor provide a more zoomed in field of view with 50% more pixels on target. The Viper’s Ge lens has a larger aperture of ƒ4.0, allowing it to transmit nearly 50% more thermal energy than the FLIR. MCT sensors are the latest technology in cooled thermal and is vastly superior to traditional InSb sensors. MCT has a higher operating tempertaure which requires less cooling and maintenance, resulting in less downtime. The Viper sees farther than the HDC-1200 with a 0.61° HFOV and 50% more pixels on target. The Viper’s longer cooler lifetime means less replacements and less downtime. Optional tool-free quick clip connectors on the Viper allow for fast replacement of cameras with mere minutes of downtime.
