I have had the honour of knowing Thomas Stevens both personally and professionally for
the last four years and it is my pleasure to write him a letter of reference.
Thomas is a part time recreation programmer for the City of Toronto, Parks Forestry
and Recreation department located at Toronto Island. Tom currently is the lead Instructor
for the Franklin Garden on Toronto Island and is part of the team in the organization of
many special events on Toronto Island for adults and children.
In addition to being an excellent staff/administrator/Instructor Tom demonstrates a high
level of energy and enthusiasm. His approach to coordinating has always been
professional, well organized, punctual and most importantly safe and fun. Tom has the
unique ability to work well in areas of cultural and economic diversity and with people of
all ages. He is able to make people feel welcome and at ease yet he also has excellent
crisis management skills and the ability to take control of difficult situations. Tom has
excellent interpersonal skills and can adapt to even the most challenging work
environments. He is a team player and quickly established a great rapport with
participants, co-workers and supervisors. Tom is a man with strong morals and a high
level of integrity. He treats people both in his business life and his personal life with the
utmost respect. I respect Tom both personally and professionally.
