DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM
Exergy Development Program ( EDP) was launched on the 7th of
February 2015. The organisation is designed to educate and uplift our
communities. The organization is registered as a Non-Profit
Organisation ( 155-793 NPO) on the 22 July 2015.
WHAT IS EXERGY
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
(EXERGYDEV)?
Exergy development Program is a non-profitable organization,
founded on a mandate to provide a proper and high quality education.
The organization aims at collaborating families/guardians, schools,
social development and other relevant sectors to create one element
that will contribute to more success in our learner’s education.
Children are molested, abused, child/foster grants being miss used, having malnutrition at
home, and parents/guardians are either unemployed or abuse alcohol.
All this factors would affect the learner’s school progress and result to either lower grades
or drop out when they reach grade 12 or post matric, part of reasons why we aim to build
integration between all the above parties.
Ratio in public schools for a Grade 10/11 class, would range around 1:40, both the
Educator and the child causes much difficult environment they can work on, with our
Saturday School Program, we aim to assist the teachers and the learners, with one on one
assistance to the learner who couldn’t grasp much information.
OBJECTIVES
 Providing students with study materials and meals.
 Apply (online or Written) for sponsors, Learnerships, Apprenticeships,
Bursaries and tertiary institution (FET Colleges, University of technology
and Universities) in time for the learners.
 Guideline on how to create portfolios for learners in case required by
institution during applying process
 Visit career expo
 company tour for exposure in a real working environment
 Camping for three consecutive days for team building and study camp (Friday
afternoon – Sunday afternoon) at least once per year.
 Provide awareness to rural/township areas about this project so that they may not give
up in they strive to further they studies.
 Create an environment where disadvantaged learners can learn without the burden of
financial expenses
 These learners who have been assisted will have the commitment of tutoring and
helping out in the community.
 To raise funds and receive contributions where appropriate to finance the work.
CURRENT PROJECT
 We provide Saturday Classes for Grade 10/11/12 learners
 We currently offer Mathematics and Physical Science Subjects
MISSION
To spread the love of education in making sure that learners
understand the main reason to achieve outstanding results and to
make education FUN.
VISION
To improve the passing rate of South Africa and bring it to 100%
SHORT TERM GOALS
-Recruit 10-30 learners for the first 3 years
-Attain 100% pass rate with more than 3 distinctions on each learner
LONG TERM GOALS
 To increase the number of students to more than 1000
 Attain 100% pass rate with more than 3 distinction on each learner
 Expand the program provincially
 Professional teachers
 Introduce new subjects
REQUIREMENT FOR
ENTRY
 Must be in Grade 10/11/12
 Must be doing Mathematics and Physical science or Accounting as
major subjects.
 Must be willing to learn.
 Attention to detail.
 Willing to work in a team and contribute to the team outputs
SELECTION PROCESS
All learners interested will be required to write a selection test and
only a selected number will be considered.

DONATION/CONTRIBUTION
 Temporary venue was made possible to commence with the project by
Pastor HL Dlamini
 Sedibeng college at Heidelberg donated two blackboards
 Two foldable tables were purchased ( individual contribution)
 A Laptop was purchased with internet tablet ( individual contribution)
 Light meal was successfully provided ( individual contribution)
 Stationary ( individual contribution)
ACHIEVEMENTS FOR 2015
 The program was ACTIVE since 07 February 2015 to 27 November
2015
 A maximum number of 23 learners were enrolled successfully
 Physical Science and Mathematics results improved from fail to pass
percentages.
 The organisation was officially registered
 Closing function on the 27 November 2015
 Students cards and T-shirts
GOALS FOR 2016
 New venue with basic facilities ( new/ old)
 Study materials for learners (new/old)
 Improve the light meal menu
 Increase the number of tutors
 Have a study camp for grade 12 learners
