Conscious Discipline Learning Objectives
Molar Objectives:
Cognitive/Behavioral- Participants will be able to understand children better and essential know
how to discipline them more effectively when they are misbehaving.
Affective: Participants will demonstrate a better sense of self understanding and self-control
when interacting with children.
Specific Objectives:
1) Describe and understand the three brain states children experience.
2) Demonstrate the three different breathing techniques, the drain, balloon, and pretzel
techniques, used to cam children down when upset.
Time Activity
9:50-10:00 Introduction/ Starbursts introduction game
10:00- 10:17 Lecture: Three brain states/ introducing breathing techniques
10:17-10:32 Breathing Techniques Practice
10:32- 10:40 Conclusion/ Review game
