2. BADMINTON
• The badminton court is 13.4m long
• 6. Im wide for men’s single
• 5.18m for women’s singles
• The lines marking out the court are
40mm wide
• The diagonal full length of the full
court is 14.36m.
• The net is 760mm in depth and a
minimum of 6.1m wide.

3. OFFICIAL AND OFFICIATING IN BADMINTON
• Referee :- A referee in badminton acts like a manager who’s job is to conduct matches in a
tournament in a proper manner and resolve any dispute if a situation arises.
• Chair Umpire :- The ‘Chair Umpire’ for the particular badminton game. He/she has the
power to overrule any decisions made by the service judge or line judges.
• Service Judge :-The first one is making a ‘ service fault ‘ call if a player is foul when doing
the serve . The second one is to provide a new shuttle if the player requests a shuttle
change.
• Line Judges :- The line judge is placed at each line of the badminton court to look after if
a shuttle lands in or out of the court near the line you are appointed to look after.

4. CRICKET
• There are no fixed dimensions for the
field but its diameter usually varies
between 450ft and 500ft
• Stump to Stump:- 20.12m long
• The width of a turf pitch is 3.05m.

5. OFFICIAL AND OFFICIATING IN CRICKET
All cricket matches have two on - field umpires . Matches which have television
cameras at the ground have a third umpire .
Umpires :- In cricket, an umpire (from the Old French nompere meaning not a
peer, i.e. not a member of one of the teams, impartial) is a person who has the
authority to make decisions about events on the cricket field according to the Laws
of Cricket .

6. KHO-KHO
• Total area requirement 30m x 19m.
• Playing Area 27m x 16m for junior boys
and girls whereas 23m × 14m for sub
juniors.
• Pole Distance 24m Central lane joining
two poles measuring 24m length x 30 cm
width.
• Cross lanes 8 nos. intersecting the central
lane. Each lane measuring 16m x 35 m.
Pole Size – Height (above ground level –
120 cm to 125 cm, Diameter 9–10 cm.)

7. OFFICIAL AND OFFICIATING IN KHO-KHO
1. Umpire: The umpire shall stand outside the lobby ground and shall supervise the match
from the central lane.
2. Referee: He shall help the umpire perform their duties. He shall give his own decision in
case there is any difference between the umpires on an issue. A referee shall punish the
defaulting player for his misbehaviour or for breaking the rules of the game. He is
responsible for proper conduct of the game and match.
3. Time Keeper : The duty of the time keeper is to record time . He signals the start and
the end of the innings by blowing a whistle.
4. Scorer : The scorer ensures that the players enter the field in the sanctioned order . He
holds the record for runners struck out . At the end of the match , he prepares the result
