• Women can get pregnant and bear children
technically from puberty to menopause(12-51) Best
(20-30)
• Early / late child bearing age ends childhood,
negatively influences Health And Socio Economic
condition

3. IN CONTEXT TO HEALTH TO EARLY CHILD BEARING
• INCREASED IMR & MMR
• INCREASED STD & RTI
• INCREASED PREGNANCY COMPLICATION
• Child bearing leads to increased risk of sexual, physical, and
psychological violence and related outcomes – like poor health and
depression –throughout their lives.

4. IN CONTEXT TO HEALTH TO LATE CHILD
BEARING
• DECREASED FERTILITY(2millon eggs at Birth,37-25000,51-1000)
• INCREASED PREGNANCY COMPLICATION
• INCREASED RISK CONGENITAL ABNORMALITIES

5. IN CONTEXT TO SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS TO
EARLY CHILD BEARING
• Teenage mothers are not fully prepared for parenthood.
• Teenage mothers are not financially sound to meet Medical,
Nutritional & Educational needs
• Teenage mothers may be victim of love marriage or betrayal by their
partners, difficult to raise the child as single parent
• Teenage mothers in arranged marriage are under intense social
pressure to prove their ability to have children
• Gender and social / norms and risk.

6. IN CONTEXT TO SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS TO
EARLY CHILD BEARING
• Child bearing encourages the initiation of sexual activity(cerivical
Cancer)
• Child brides are often isolated, hard to reach, and unable to access
service
• It is extremely difficult for child brides to assert their preferences and
needs

7. IN CONTEXT TO SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS TO
LATE CHILD BEARING
• Parents of high SES are able to provide a wider range of experiences,
material resources, parental actions, and social interactions that
many low SES children may not have access to.
• Late child bearing is more common among high Socio-economic
status couples with higher education, handsome salary jobs
• Late child bearing as major impact on fertility and difficulty in
conceiving
• Because of Career orientation of the couples they find less / no time
for child birth and rearing
