EDUCATOR
Drawing from 25 years as a professional actor Stuart has conducted workshops in Shakespeare, voice, acting,
movement and stage combat for the Shakespeare Globe Centre Australia, WA Youth Theatre Company, Midnite Youth
Theatre, Notre Dame University, John Curtin School for Performing Arts, the Independent Theatre Association and
many other schools and colleges in WA, VIC and NSW, as well as an upcoming role as teacher/workshop leader at a
festival in Taipei for the International Schools Theatre Association.
With student ages ranging from 9-adult, and from private coaching to groups of 40, he has taught and lectured on the
history of the Globe and how Elizabethan practice feeds in to today's interpretation of Shakespeare's work, the specific
rehearsal techniques used at the Globe in direct relation to the layout of the theatre, Shakespeare’s Sonnets, audition
techniques, the differences between verse and prose speaking, monologues, duologues, and acting for the camera.
