Charge RN and preceptor of new employees working as an interdisciplinary team member coordinating patient care, labs, and
daily assessment to analyze data and provide pertinent information to physicians to allow for appropriate interventions to be
made. Daily tasks include dialysis treatment initiation and discontinuation, medication administration, monitoring patient for
abnormal findings, arterio-venous fistula / graft cannulation / de-cannulation, CVC care and assessment, infection control,
health teaching, and anemia management.
Davita: Suburban Dialysis January 2012 – August 2014
Charge RN working as an interdisciplinary team member coordinating patients dialysis treatments to improve clinical outcomes.
Mentor for future RN’s, trainer for new employees. Role includes assessment and intervention regarding normal and abnormal
findings, medication administration, peripheral venipuncture, arterio-venous fistula or graft cannulation, catheter care and
assessment, drawing / spinning labs, reviewing labs on weekly / monthly basis, health education to enable patients to become
empowered to live healthy lives, and documentation. Solely responsible for patients first 90 days of dialysis - IMPACT
Manager (most critical period).
Roswell Park Cancer Institute October 2011 - December 2011
Worked as a team to manage a patient workload on a leukemia/ lymphoma unit. Some interventions implemented included
blood product administration, safety precautions, medication/ chemotherapy administration, T+P, accurate I+O, analyzing
patient change in condition, IVAD access / de-access, blood draws, CVP / PICC dressing changes, full assessment, and
accurate EMR documentation.
