October PLANNING AND RESEARCH
*Gather ideas and decide on groups and genre.
*Research related genres and deconstruct existing film
trailers related to chosen genre.
*Decide on story plot, including characters, locations, camera
angles, scripting, storyboard and props.
*Construct questionnaires based upon target audience.
*Casting for the film trailer.
2. 23rd
October – 3rd
November FILMING
*Start filming trailer.
*Take images of set, characters and props that can be useful
when creating ancillaries.
*Keep a record of all changes of scripting, locations, plot etc.
*Finish filming all selected images for the trailer.
3. 4th
– 17th
November EDITING
*Upload all video footage onto iMac.
*Begin editing using iMovie software.
*Keep a record of all changes to storyboard.
*Make sure all footage is edited and suitable to fit the brief.
*Burn finished product onto a disk.
4. 18th
November – 19th
December ANCILLARIES
*Gather ideas of magazine covers and posters with looking at
the images collected from filming.
*Research related media texts and deconstruct.
*Gather conventions and informational text that will need to
be included for each.
*Create first draft.
*Hold a focus group and ask for audience feedback.
*Document any amendments made.
5. 7th
January – 14th
February EVALUATION
*Produce final products of film trailer, magazine cover and
poster.
*Answer 4 evaluation questions about the process in detail
including different ways to portray the information – written
blog, video, slideshare, voice recorder, prezi etc.
*Include what was learnt, what was successful, what I would
change etc.
