Personally, Alex Wong is
one of my favourite
dancers because of his
versitility in dance. He can
dance ballet,
contemporary, hip-hop,
ballroom, etc. Alex is
originally a ballet dancer.
9. In different cultures and societies, dance plays an important role. For
example, we use dancing, much like the animals, to attract a mate. If we
bring a date to the prom or even until our wedding day, there will always
be that “couple dance” because of the intimacy our body language
expresses through dance.
In the various tribes of the Philippines, we have dances for daily tasks
(such as planting rice, catching fish, etc.), rain and harvest, marriage, and
even the head hunting dance!
