The recipe for a winning startup!
Frutarom is setting up FoodNxt, an innovation lab for
startups and ventures specializing in food innovation and
unique raw materials for food. The FoodNxt innovation lab
will be established in Migdal HaEmek and will focus on the
development of functional ingredients / nutraceuticals for
food, beverage and dietary supplements industries.
Frutarom will operate its innovation lab for three years
during which the Innovation Authority will participate in
financing the establishment of a technological
and business infrastructure for entrepreneurs.
Startups chosen for the lab will receive financing at a
participation rate of 85% and up to 1 million NIS for
financing a feasibility project. The FoodNxt innovation lab
program will serve as a platform for connecting the food
and healthy raw materials international markets with Israeli
entrepreneurship and innovation.
Frutarom will select visionary ventures and startups with
the ability to bring breakthrough innovation to the food
industry and natural fine raw materials that meet real
consumer needs for healthy and natural food, and that align
with leading trends in the international food, beverage and
food supplement markets. Frutarom’s FoodNxt innovation
lab will focus on solving vital problems that plague
consumers and manufacturers today such as obesity,
diabetes, finding alternative protein sources, demand for
natural and healthy food products & supplements that
maintain nutritional values, protect the environment, and
more.
The FoodNxt innovation lab will provide its startups with a
variety of technologies, advanced equipment and a
professional team that will support the ventures throughout
the program. The close accompaniment of each project will
include the preparation of a business plan and feasibility
study, creation of a technological infrastructure, assistance
in patent registration, direction of projects for compliance
with US and European regulations, assistance in finding
cooperation and partnerships with leading Israeli and foreign
food companies and creation of a competitive advantage
in the international market.
