1- Interviews were mainly with young adults who had recently finished A-levels and O-levels and education and history expert, all coming from different educational, geographical, religious and ethnic backgrounds. Secondary sources focused on textbook analysis.
2 - List reasons: Superficial reasons such as poor use of the English language to more complex and nuanced issues regarding cultural bias and “patronizing tones” as one respondent mentioned.
3 – This manuscript is a longer term project than my original deliverable of a simple research paper – which would have only reached the academic community.
