• Supermarkets had the most new maple syrup
products in a 250 ml size, while mass
merchandise/hypermarkets and natural/health
food stores also carried these sizes.
• It’s interesting to note that the majority of pack
sizes were found in several types of stores.
However, the 200 ml format was only found in
mass merchandise/hypermarkets.
• Certain syrup sizes do seem to be more
commonly used in certain countries, such as the
250 ml size which accounted for all the new
maple syrup launches in Germany and in Czech
Republic. However, in the UK, only a fraction of
the new maple syrup launches were in a 250ml
size while over a third of them were in a 180ml
size.
