2. What sets me apart from others is that I lead with my head but
any decision or goal that I set out to achieve is also made with my
heart. I would say that I have a strong hold on my emotions when
it’s important to do so but I’m also not afraid to speak out for
something that I believe in full heartedly. I’m currently training as
an assistant manager and this has helped me find a balance
between professionalism and leniency.

I’ve placed myself mostly in the music and psych industries because shaping
the minds and helping the people of tomorrow is ultimately what I want to take
part in. Whether it be working hands on in the psych field or trying to help an
artist get a message across to their fan base that I closely relate to, I want to
make a change. I approach my work with an open mind and a willingness to
change my work ethic when a better way is shown to me. I would consider
myself malleable to a healthy degree and not to a point where I throw my values
and company’s culture aside.

The skills that I have to develop in order to rise above the competition is
leadership and communication when it comes to confrontation. I also would
need to gain experience in the music and psych industries.

5. Credentials
I’ve been the vice president of an equity club, worked in management and customer
care for over 2 years, and a turn around award. I’m. Someone who is consistent,
dedicated, and when I find myself in a rut I’m easily able to get back to where I was or
even push past my goals. As for why I should be chosen over my competitors, I am
compassionate and strong willed as well as initiative. I always strive for growth and am
unwilling to settle for the “comfortable” position. I always want to push forward to
the next position in my company so that I can relay my ideas and passion with the rest
of my company.

6. My Goals
Three goals I hope to achieve are, developing my skills as a manager and moving
towards a position where I’m certified to teach new comers the protocols and
culture of the company, finish my bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology, and
gain experience through working at centers that benefit from music therapy or
start at a music company to work towards artist management.

7. Audience
The audience that I find myself aiming towards are people of all
race and educational back grounds, around the ages of 16 to 30
years of age. I want to target those who are still at the stage of
figuring themselves and their interests out. My audience are
those who enjoy music, art, and are open to new experiences in
or approaches to life.

8. Competition
Ron Sas- Creative Director at Vitas Healthcare
He is a seasoned professional in launching and managing a company and has
experience with marketing for health, global products, luxury brands, and retail.
He’s had several jobs in management and advertising before he started working at
Vitas healthcare. As for online presence he is very active with his personal
connections (500+ connections) but doesn’t see to have any social medias linked.
The only education listed is a degree with Full Sail.

9. Competition
Jeremy Roark- Ph.D Psychologist with Vista Community Counseling
Jeremy has over 10 years of experience in the psychology field from therapist
positions to volunteering. He also has 7+ years of education in the arts and sciences
of psychology. I would say that Jeremy is very active with his social medias and
displays a consistent ideology. He is also way above, in terms of education, my goal
but his profession is close to what I picture my self pursuing. He also has a long list
of skills having to do with psych such as group therapy, trauma, self esteem, anger
management, etc.

I’m someone who is responsible but also easy-going and funny.
I like to create a safe and fun environment for my team
members but also establish a need for organization and
professionalism. I’m a great listener who’s open to feedback
and looks for constructive criticism.

I need to be more up to date and active on my social medias, especially LinkedIn
so that I can increase my network pool. I would say that my more personal Social
medias which are linked on all my socials are very accurate in depicting who I am
but they could do with more professionalism.

12. Professional Development
I plan on volunteering and aiming for internships related closely to music so that
I can gain more knowledge of the music and entertainment world. I also plan on
working with my current managers to further develop my skills as a manager.
The skills that I need to focus on most so that I can stand out against the
competition is communication in terms of confrontational scenarios and
leadership. I also need to gain more experience in the psych and music field.

13. My Promise
I promise to stand strong and voice my opinion for those who can’t speak
freely for themselves, to offer a hand to those who feel alone, and inspire
hope and happiness in those that feel lost.

14. My Pitch to You
My name is Shelby Germany and I want to change the industry I choose for the
better. I want to create a connection between the audience and the company
because I feel that is something that a lot of companies lack. I’ve felt the power that
music has to change a person’s mood, mind set, and perspective and I’d like to do
that for others. Music is not only that to me, it is something that can place you in
the shoes of others and is the only universal language other than love. So, please help
me spread the love.
