PROJECT DETAILS:
DESIGN OF A TWO WHEELER SUSPENSION SYSTEM
Description:
The design of spring in suspension system is very important. In this project a shock absorber is
designed and a 3D model is created using CATIA. The model is also changed by changing the
thickness of the spring. Structural analysis is done on the shock absorber’s helical spring by
varying material for spring for different loads. Structural analysis is done to validate the
deformation and strain for different loads. Comparison is done for Titanium, Spring Steel,
Aramid Fiber Reinforced polymer materials to verify best material for spring in Shock absorber.
