The document describes the process of creating a newspaper advertisement for a Channel 4 documentary. The advertisement features an enlarged photo of a chest tattoo as the main image. Text boxes were added in white to provide the documentary's title, slogan, and air time over the photo. The Channel 4 logo was also included and adjusted to fit alongside the simple white and photo color scheme. Final adjustments ensured nothing obscured the chest tattoo photo at the center of the advertisement.
2. • To start out newspaper
advert I started a new A4
document and inserted a
picture I had taken of
Oliver Astley’s chest tattoo
• I then enlarged the image
to fit the A4 page, and
changed the brightness and
contrast of the image to
make it brighter so it would
stand out.
3. • I then went onto Google
images to find the channel
4 logo which is prominent
in all of their adverts at the
side of the advert. I
changed the colour of it to
white to fit in with a simple
colour scheme of the
advert.
• After fitting the channel 4
logo I added white boxes
for the text on the images
so it was easy to read and I
chose white so it would
match the 4 logo and the
colour scheme.
4. Finally I added the text to the image which included the slogan of the
documentary, the title of the documentary and the scheduling
information. After that I made all the final adjustments such as
arranging the boxes on the page and the channel 4 logo so that nothing
was covering much of the main image of the newspaper advert
