LEARNING ABOUT HEALTHYHOMES AFTERA DISASTER- The Partnership for
Maternal Child Health of Northern New Jersey made a presentatlon on creat-
ing a healthy home after a hurricane or flood at the Grove Street School PTA
meeting on Thursday, April 16. Parents and teachers in attendance learned
about the seven principles of healthy homes, the hazards of exposure to dev-
astation after a natural disaster and how to create and maintain safe and
healthy homes in all communities. Tote bags with various natural cleaning
items were distributed to all participants. Above, Grove Street School parents
and teachers participate, including, seated far right, Principal Deniece Coop-
er. At left, from left, PTA President Shaniece Lee, Grove Street School nurse
Cynthia Samuel and Partnership for Maternal Child Health of Northern New
Jersey program specialist Ashlee Arafet were at the event as well.
