Wittle Ridge Runners Counselor • ($9.57 -
$10.55)
Prerequisites: Valid, current certification with CPR and AED.
Attendance at City of Pleasanton Training Practicum.
Description: Wittle Ridge Runners Counselors are
responsible to supervise children from ages 4-6 in an indoor
and outdoor environment. Each counselor is responsible for a
different group (7-8 children) of campers each week.
Duties:
• Support & supervise campers
• Supervise campers to ensure safety
• Craft assisting
• Activity directing
• Game & song leading
Ridge Runners Counselor • ($9.57 - $10.55)
Prerequisites: Valid, current certification with CPR and AED.
Attendance at City of Pleasanton Training Practicum.
Description: Counselors are responsible for ensuring the
safety of campers at all times. They lead songs, games, crafts,
portions of hikes and assist the City Naturalist. Each counselor
is responsible for a different group (7-8 children) of campers
each week. Counselors must be fit and able to withstand
entire days of hiking and arduous navigation in outdoor trails.
Duties:
• Support and supervise campers
• Observe for potential hazards on trails
• Assist in environmental education activities
• Game initiation and leading

Alviso Adobe Community Park
The Alviso Adobe Community Park is an unique site
that tells the story of California from its earliest
human history. The site features a dramatic overlook
of the valley, with images of Pleasanton at different
time periods and a small amphitheater that seats
approximately 30 people.
Recreation Leader II • ($9.57 - $11.63)
Prerequisites: Valid, current certification with CPR and AED
Description: Under the direction of the Preschool, Youth,
and Teen Coordinator and Recreation Leader IV, the
Recreation Leader II will perform various support duties to the
following camps:
• Summer Seekers Camp (ages 5-7)
• Summer Explorers (ages 8-10)
• P-Town Teen Camp (ages 11-15)
Duties Include:
• Supervising participants in program area and field trips
• Facilitating recreational activities according to prepared
curriculum
• Assisting with activity set up, implementation and clean
up
Recreation Leader III • ($11.15 - $13.55)
Prerequisites: Valid, current certification with CPR and AED
Description: Under the direction of the Preschool, Youth,
and Teen Coordinator and Recreation Leader IV, the
Recreation Leader III will perform various support duties to
the following camps:
• Summer Seekers Camp (ages 5-7)
• Summer Explorers (ages 8-10)
• P-Town Teen Camp (ages 11-15)
Duties Include:
• Serving as a lead staff in assigned camp program
• Planning activity calendars and supply lists in advance of
the program start date
• Assisting with storing and managing on-site equipment
and supplies

Lifeguard
($9.04-$10.47)
Prerequisites: Possess current American
Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED
certifications.
Description: Help protect the community
by preventing, recognizing, and
responding to water-related emergencies.
Schedules include early mornings,
evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
Duties:
• Surveillance of pools and patrons
• Enforce rules; maintain safety in and
around pool
• Respond to patrons needing assistance
Water Safety Instructor
($11.03 - $13.41)
Prerequisites: Possess current American
Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
certification.
Description: Instruct patrons of different
ages and abilities how to be safe in, on or
around the water and how to swim.
Schedules include mornings, evenings,
weekends, and holidays. 
Duties:
• Instruct swimming lessons
• Assist with program set-up,
implementation, and clean-up
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in and
around pool
Cashier
($9.57 - $11.63)
Prerequisites: Must be at least 18 years of
age.
Description: Interact with program
participants to collect payment, answer
questions, and accept registration.
Schedules include early mornings,
evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
Duties:
• Assists with administrative duties
• Handle cash & other payment
• Register participants for classes
• Respond to questions from public
• Assists with Emergency Action Plan

Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center
Pleasanton’s premiere aquatic facility, featuring a
50-meter Olympic-size pool, shallow pool with
waterslide, 25-meter ‘L shaped’ lap pool with
attached diving well, two 1-meter diving boards, and
plenty of turf for picnics and lounging poolside.
Pools are heated to 80 degrees, year-round. The
facility is also equipped with plenty of parking,
locker rooms, and shower facilities.
