4. ABOUT-
TAGLINE - We are Uber. The go-getters.
FOUNDER- Travis Cordell Kalanick
Uber is a transportation company with an app that
allows passengers to hail a ride and drivers to charge
fares and get paid. More specifically, Uber is a
ridesharing company that hires independent
contractors as drivers.
How does it work?
Uber is a platform where those who drive and deliver
can connect with riders, eaters, and restaurants. In
cities where Uber is available, you can use the Uber
app to request a ride. When a nearby driver accepts
your request, the app displays an estimated time of
arrival for the driver heading to your pickup location.
6. Which is the Most popular purpose of trip and how much miles is travelled?
Analysis-
In this programming, I have tried to
find out -
• Most of the rides are booked for
business purpose with total miles
of 2800.
• Most of the people book cabs for
customer visit and Meetings and
Meal / Entertain purpose
covering total miles of 2000.
By this analysis we can visualize the
data that what was the frequent
purpose of covering these many
distance from uber.
7. What is the total number of unique stop destinations?
Analysis-
In this programming I
tried to find out the
unique stop
destination other
than common place
of visiting. According
to my finding, the
total no. of unique
stop destination are
188. Len() is used for
function returns the
number of
characters in the
string.
8. What is the most popular starting point for the Uber drivers?
Analysis-
In this programming I tried
to find out the most
popular starting point with
help of count function-
Count() is a Python built-in
function that returns the
number of times an object
appears in a list. Head() in
Python displays the first five
rows of the data frame by
default.
9. Plot the bar graph of number of trips vs category of trips?
Analysis-
In this programming I tried
to find out the comparison
through bar graph i.e. no.
of trips and category of
trips. From this I got to know
that business people took
maximum number of trips
with frequency of 1078 to
the personal category with
frequency 80.
10. The Uber trips that has the starting point of San Francisco?
From this analysis, I
got to know that
how many rides
have been taken
place from a
particular place i.e.
San Francisco
11. CONCLUSION
From this visualization we can conclude that by using Python people can analyze
the data easy and can get the result as per the requirement. Results are-.
• We can visualize the data that what was the frequent purpose of covering these many
distance from uber.
• Tried to find out the unique stop destination other than common place of visiting.
• To find out the most popular starting point with help of count function.
• To find out the comparison through bar graph i.e. no. of trips and category of trips.
• Got to know that how many rides have been taken place from a particular place i.e. San
Francisco
Exploratory data analysis is a difficult task. It requires a lot of time and work, but
when used correctly in a business setting, it can be a very useful tool. This post briefly
outlined a few methods and approaches to speed up the analysis process and
undoubtedly highlighted the importance of having a well-defined business problem
to focus all coding efforts on a single objective and highlight key insights. This
business case also sought to show how Python can be utilised in everyday business
operations and still be useful, amusing, and interesting.
