• Remedial spreadsheet to analyze competencies of students who do not pass TExES 181 and
prescribe study materials

• Developed self-paced study tool software for ASL I and II which rapidly narrows down
vocabulary study focus in order to maximize efficiency
• Expanded the Study Tool to cover ASL I-IV and additional DHH courses
• Overhauled Study Tool to correspond with the new Signing Naturally Curriculum (2010-2011)
• Developed and implemented exit exams in order to ensure preparedness for two levels of ASL
– exams include both receptive and expressive skills
• Completed SACS accreditation reports
• Sole author of 2 reports resulting in NCATE Recognized Status
• Completed NSF grant researching the usefulness of Motion capture in science education for
deaf students
• Competed in the Intel RealSense App Development Challenge
• Developed semi-automated advising tools which detect course sequencing errors

Austin State University • Certified Online Instructor KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS A DHH FACULTY MEMBER • Developed ARD case studies • Searchable Bi-Bi database • Prescriptive practice tests for TExES 181 – diagnoses competencies and suggests study materials • Remedial spreadsheet to analyze competencies of students who do not pass TExES 181 and prescribe study materials • Mock trial (ASL vs. Oralism) • Signed Video Lectures (Full semester for Language in Deaf Education) • Developed self-paced study tool software for ASL I and II which rapidly narrows down vocabulary study focus in order to maximize efficiency • Expanded the Study Tool to cover ASL I-IV and additional DHH courses • Overhauled Study Tool to correspond with the new Signing Naturally Curriculum (2010-2011) • Developed and implemented exit exams in order to ensure preparedness for two levels of ASL – exams include both receptive and expressive skills • Completed SACS accreditation reports • Sole author of 2 reports resulting in NCATE Recognized Status • Completed NSF grant researching the usefulness of Motion capture in science education for deaf students • Competed in the Intel RealSense App Development Challenge • Developed semi-automated advising tools which detect course sequencing errors COLLABORATORS Dr. Harry Lang, Rochester Institute of Technology/National Technical Institute of the Deaf.
