To Whom It May Concern:
This is a recommendation for Sarah Livingstone who I have known for seven years
and worked with for two years as a part of a not for profit organization.
Sarah was a team member for HOPE worldwide Tri-State an organization that
provided Saturday Academy Tutoring for students at a school in Newark, NJ. The
program utilized volunteers to work with students in the areas of science,
mathematics, reading, physical activity and character development. Saturday
Academy served approximately 100 children each weekend with a nutritious meal
and educational support in a safe environment.
To support this program it was necessary to raise funds from the community. Sarah
worked with three others to develop and present an online auction as a fundraiser.
We planned, developed and ran the auction with support from the community of
north New Jersey. Sarah gathered items to be auctioned from donors in five cities,
helped plan the brochures and informational materials, carefully and meticulously
entered data to track bids and deliver awarded items. She was able to build
relationships with donors in five communities surrounding Newark by informing
them of the program and its successes with students.
Sarah is a strong person who has natural gifts in relationships with people using her
ability to listen and warmth in the process. She is resourceful, a hard worker and
patient even in difficult tasks such as fundraising.
