AstiVita Warranty
Astivita branded products sold to retail customers are subject to 24 months initial warranty, plus 5 Years
Extended Warranty. To be eligible for an Extended Warranty you must register on www.astivita.com
warranty within 90 days from date of purchase and provide evidence of purchase at time of
registration. All Other Brands sold by AstiVita are subject to 24 months Warranty only (unless a longer
Warrantyhasbeenspecifiedinproductdocumentation). TheseWarrantiescoverallproductstobefreefrom
manufacturing defects that restrict normal use or affect overall appearance. Products are intended for
domestic use in the owners home. Use of the Products for commercial purposes will limit the warranty
to a period of 6 months.
Our warranties are in addition to those available under the Australian Consumer Law (“ACL”). The
Consumer is entitled to have the Products covered under the warranty, repaired/replaced with a product
of equal value, or costs refunded at AstiVita’s discretion. Any replacement product will carry the balance
of the original warranty only.
Subject to the Exclusions, the defects need to be visually observable without assistance, in indirect light,
from a distance greater than 1 metre or affect normal operation of the product.
This warranty only applies to the Products sold by AstiVita Limited and, purchased and used in Australia
and to the original owner only, however subsequent owners may still have rights under the ACL. Unless
the Product is transported by AstiVita or an AstiVita authorised representative, the Product is transported
at the owner’s cost and risk while in transit to and from AstiVita.
1. In areas outside those serviced by an AstiVita agent, you will bear the cost of transportation, travel
and delivery of the Product to and from AstiVita and/or travel of an authorised representative.
2. If you are required to return the Product to AstiVita, you must ensure it is cleaned, drained and free
from debris or residues, securely packed and insured. AstiVita takes no responsibility for loss or
damage prior to delivery to our premises.
3. AstiVita may use remanufactured and refurbished parts to repair your Product and you agree that
any replaced Products or parts become the property of AstiVita.
4. You may not make a claim under this warranty unless the defect claimed is due to faulty or
defective manufacturing. AstiVita is not liable in the following situations (which are not
exhaustive):
(a) The part is expendable: e.g. light bulbs, filters, aerators, etc.
(b) The Product is damaged by:
i. Accident;
ii. Misuse or abuse, including failure to properly maintain or service;
iii. Normal wear and tear (such as heating elements, switchgear, clarity of glass, etc);
iv. Power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply;
v. Incomplete or improper installation, or not in accordance with local building regulations;
vi. Incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation;
vii. Insect or vermin infestation;
viii. Failure to comply with any additional instructions supplied with the Product;
ix. The Product is modified without authority from AstiVita in writing;
x. The Product’s serial number or warrant seal has been removed or defaced;
xi. The Product was serviced or repaired by anyone other than AstiVita or an authorised repairer;
xii. The use of parts not manufactured, sold or approved by AstiVita in any replacement or repair;
xiii. The Product is operated on an electrical, gas or water supply which exceeds the specified ratings;
xiv. The Product is damaged as a result of using the Product when it was known to be defective;
xv. The product is damaged due to incorrect storage, mounting or any other influence outside the
control of AstiVita;
xvi. When the clearing of blockages in pumps and hoses or any other required maintenance did not
take place; and
xvii. Any cost or damages consequent or caused by the product failure.
Claiming under this warranty:
1. Carefully check the operating instructions, user manual and the terms of this warranty;
2. Have the model and serial number of the Product and the proof of purchase
(e.g. an invoice) available;
3. Visit www.astivita.com to log your warranty claim, or in writing directed to AstiVita Limited.
You accept that if you make a warranty claim, AstiVita may exchange information in relation to you
to enable AstiVita to meet its obligations under this warranty.
AstiVita’s warranty is not applicable to extended warranty programs offered by third parties.
