II. Logo/Tagline of Your Business Plan
Letter of Transmittal
Write a letter of transmittal addressing your respective faculty (Within one page).
Acknowledgement
It is a part, where you should express gratitude to your respective faculty for giving you this
opportunity for coming up with the Business Plan.
Table of Contents: Insert ‘Table of Content’ from Microsoft Word’s ‘References’ tab and include
your topics with proper page numbering.
Section 1 - Executive Summary
This part of your report should not exceed 1 page, preferably, 4 paragraphs. In this section, you
explain your total business in short. You also have to mention major goals and objectives of your
business.
Section 2 – Company Background
In this section, you discuss the main business operations, mission and vision statement,
identification of operating industry and legal form of your business. Please include ‘SWOT’ analysis
of your business here.
Section 3 – Management Team
In this section, you have to include your Organ-gram (mostly known as hierarchy), job description
of partners/ important designation holders. You also have to enlist business partner’s educational
and professional background in a brief. If you have any outside consultants, mention their name
and duties also.
Section 4 – Product/Service Description
In this section, give details about the product/service. . You can include photos, drawings or 3D
designs for better understanding. Also include technical specifications if you have any. Lastly,
mention unique features of the product and explain why customers would want to buy this
product/service.

2. Section 5 – Industry Analysis
In this section, 1st
paragraph must consist ‘PESTLE’ analysis.
In the 2nd paragraph, explain how your product/service will fit in this industry.
3rd
paragraph should come with a detailed market analysis [segmentation, target market, key
competitors] for your product/ service.
Section 6 – Marketing Plan
In this part, at first, explain the Pricing Strategy for the product or service with logic. Later part
should contain your Distribution Strategy and Promotional Strategy.
2nd part should include the total operational plan of your business. For example, factory facilities,
customer care service, raw materials, machineries management, research and development of
existing products/services for the future.
Section 7 – Financing the Business
This part should start indicating the total amount of capital needed for your business. Next,
describe how these funds are to be managed (sources) and used Allocation of Total Investment.
Last but not the least, include ‘Income Statement of 1 year’ for your business.
Section 8 – Conclusion
In this section try to convince the investors that your business plan is a realistic one and it has a
potentiality of sustainable growth.
Section 9 – Referencing
List out all the textbooks, journal articles, magazines, websites that you have used to write this
Business Plan. This is a mandatory part.
Section 10 – Appendix
If you have any charts, tables, graphs, research data, questionnaire to strengthen your project,
include in this section.
