1.4 Observations on Processes in all departments (Design
/Manufacturing/Quality assurance etc) :
Engineering Team
Engineering team has Design, Detailing and Estimation Teams. Where,
Proposal sketches are the sketches proposed by the Design team to the client.
They are the first step for any project to proceed further, i.e., estimation and
drafting of GAD after approval.
Now, In reference to the Proposal Sketches GAD are made by the
Detailing Team on every small Detail consisted in the Project. Now, they are
sent for Clients approval.
After the Client’s approval, the Estimator gives the tonnage of the project.
PMTO from the Projection Team procures the steel required for the
Production.
Now, Shop Drawings are Extracted using TEKLA software.
Production Team

13. Conclusion & Future scope
4.1 Conclusions:
We’ve gained a lot of knowledge in this PEB Industry regarding the
design, drawings, fabrication, erection of such buildings. We also acquired
knowledge and experience about different types of softwares being used and
the procedures involved in the making of a Pre-Engineered Building.
We came across new terminologies used in this industry. We
understood the concepts of design used for base plate, bolt length
calculations, splice plate calculations, stiffeners, sag rods, purlins and girts
weights and stretch widths, bracings.

From the past two decades this industry seem to be
growing exponentially due to the feasibility and longer
sustainability of Pre-Engineered Buildings the industry will
continue to grow giving us further opportunities.
