Blackstone was founded in 1985 by Peter G. Peterson and
Stephen A. Schwarzman with $400,000 in seed capital. The
founders named their firm "Blackstone," using a cryptogram
derived from the names of the two founders (Schwarzman
and Peterson).

 Blackstone was founded in 1985.
 In October 2000, Blackstone acquired the mortgage for 7
World Trade Center from the Teachers Insurance and Annuity
Association.
 In July 2002, Blackstone completed fundraising for a $6.45
billion private equity fund, Blackstone Capital Partners IV, the
largest private equity fund at that time

implemented internal communications and engagement

multiple sectors including IT/Telco, Retail, and Contact
Centre environments. Building plans and strategies that
target the UK and Insight, following an acquisition, to
support 18 countries and multiple languages.
