Long Board Portfolio
Northcutt
Initially started by my dad in 2005, we
have been making 3 ply cherry long
board skateboards. Since then he and
I have worked together to make 6 long
boards all unique in shape and size.
The 409
Finished:	2010
Length:	4’-9”
Width:	11”
Wood: Cherry
This board was the first board I made
on my own. The shape of the board
was inspired by old style long board
surf boards. The 409 was the ideal
length for a hardwood board and rode
beautifully
The Red Devil
Finished:	2011
Length:	32”
Width:	10”
Wood: Cherry
The Red Devil was the second board I
made. This board is significantly shorter
than the others and was considered more
of an experiment with using hardwood for
a shorter board. The shape has a typical
nose but has a sort of pinned tail. To say
the least this board lives up to its name. Its
scary to ride.
1957
Finished: 2012
Length: 5’-7”
Width: 11”
Wood: Cherry
Its rare to see a longboard longer than 4’, so the
idea behind this board was to break that boundry.
It stands as tall as I do and on the ground it looks
like a surfboard straight from the early surf scene.
This board was defiantly an experiment with how
long a hardwood board can be without breaking. So
far its held together but it bows a scary amount.
