Cityplace tower is a 42-story building that
includes 1.4 million square feet of office
space. It sits on 10 acres that include four
retail/office pad sites and underground
parking. The tower has a Brazilian royal red
granite exterior with both a flamed and
polished finish. The ground floor lobby is
finished with African mahogany paneling
and five varieties of Spanish marble. Every
5 stories included an atrium located within
the service core of the building.
The original design was for two towers and
a connecting bridge over and existing
highway. In addition, 10 low rise buildings,
to be used as retails space, were to surround
the tower. All of the additional buildings
were to be constructed using the same
materials.
