as opposed to prescription drugs, which may be supplied only to

products.

7. The study assess the practice of self-medication among medical undergraduate
students and non-medical undergraduate students of universities in Gwalior.
QUESTIONNAIRE The questionnaire consisted of 25 multiple choice questions
having 3 suitable options, out of which only 1 suitable option was to be locked by
the subject. Methods A pretested questionnaire was self-administered to 200
undergraduate students of the university. The self-administered, pretested
questionnaires was made available online in the form of Google form were self-
administered. The purpose of the study was explained to the respondents and
their written consent to participate in the study were sought and obtained before
the questionnaires were administered.

8. CONCLUSION
About 71 % of undergraduate students admitted to
takings self medication in last one year.
Medical students are more likely to self medicate
as compared to non medical students.
Also, it is seen that medical students are more
likely to share prescription and medicines with
their friends and family.
It is seen that medical students are more aware
about the medicine that they consume. They read
the ingredients list, check for the direction of
usage and expiry date.
However, non medical students are more likely
to keep the track of dosage and follow the
instructions given by the pharmacist.
