I am writing this reference letter on behalf of Dr. Roman Padilla Alvarez who has been
recommended for providing services to your organization. I know Roman because he has
provided expert advices for the institute that I am currently employed.
I met Roman in 2008 while he came to Skopje as an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
expert. I was impressed by his professional level and his friendly attitude to our colleagues. The
few days that we spent together and the interesting talks shared led to the friendship that we
share to this day.
Roman visited our Institute to assess the status of implementation of a National project pursuing
Environmental Monitoring of Radioactivity, including a Nationwide Survey for Rn-222 and Rn-220
and to address recommendations to facilitate its completion. He revised the organization of the
analytical work and the associated Quality Management Documentation. He provided several
lectures on General considerations related to QM principles and specifics for the work of
calibration and testing laboratories.
Roman was outstanding by his technical competences and skills but also for gathering the local
participants into a very productive and really enjoyable exchange while providing excellent quality
training to our local specialists. He also assisted in suggesting ideas for the new project proposals.
I am sure that he will find many opportunities to provide you with his valuable expertise.
