It is with great pleasure that I extend this letter of recommendation to Mr. Rodrigo
Quintanilla, whom I have known since 1989. Mr. Quintanilla worked for our organization
from June 1993 to December 1994, as part of our Women's and Maquiladora Information
Center Program, financed by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
Mr. Quintanilla was in charge of the Center's library, including the supervision of clerical
staff, coordination of interns, and management and support of databases and information
system. Rodrigo Quintanilla was able to create a user-friendly collection of health and
women-related books and periodical collections. Information services created and managed
by Mr. Quintanilla included on-line and CD ROM bibliographic services. He also developed
the library's policies, rules and guidelines, as well as networks for referral information
resources. Rodrigo's bilingual skills were also key to the Women's and Maquiladora
Information Center's accomplishments, since our organization is also the Mexican
representative of an international health care organization based in San Diego, CA --Project
Concern International.
During his time of employment with our organization, Mr. Quintanilla exhibited a strong
sense of commitment to our library, the Information Center, and our Organization in general.
Without a doubt, Mr. Quintanilla proved his mastery in the field of librarianship. We were
extremely pleased with his performance.
