1. Rob Walters is a Dutch artist known for refined designs
with seemingly regular patterns. If you look closely
you’ll see that each repeat displays variations that
express the artist’s endless struggle with colour and
shape. His work involves mixing photography with
artwork in a creation process that continuously
triggers new questions until ultimately the
composition reaches its perfection.
The Rob Walters cushion collection is named No Back
No Front. Both sides are equally substantive; they
interact and communicate the end of the dilemma:
less is more or less is a bore.
Rob Walters is een Nederlands kunstenaar bekend van
verfijnde ontwerpen met schijnbaar regelmatige
patronen. Als je goed kijkt zie je dat elke herhaling
variaties vertoont welke de kunstenaars eindeloze
worsteling met kleur en vorm uitdrukken. In zijn werk
mixt hij fotografie met kunst in een creatieproces dat
continue nieuwe vragen oproept tot uiteindelijk de
compositie zijn perfectie bereikt.
