1. "Look what I can do!"
"I know I don't listen, but... would you have me any other way...and this makes the story way more
predictable"
- no spoilers -
A feel-good exciting cheesey masterpiece of silly and over the top action adventure served with subtle
parody satire and surgical wit.
A must enjoyable see thrilling parade of reptiles, bad guys and good guys.
So much action nonsense goes on but it lands on its feet as a score of 10.
Big Shark things with Big teeth, tentacles reaching out like skyscrapers, deep diving to a zone
underneath a zone beneath the bottom of the ocean, literally 3 steps below hell,
blown up, torn up, imploding up
All with the bestest of CGI.
I got to say,
Jason Statham - is an all out action actor. He's so good and so corny and so good and so corny he's can
do no wrong.
He cuts the cheese like no other cheese cutter.
Just a lovable magnificent performance. He's the Big Cheese that's the glue.
Wu King - Kooky serious
Page Kennedy - Jive and relatable
Shuya Sophie Cai - Annoying and irritating teen
The direction by Ben Wheatley is first class.
This is a reptile action adventure and He never lets you forget who the star of this film is. The reptiles.
It's an all out Mammoth Reptilian Festival.
Gnashing their teeth, dragging off their kills, using their brains.
2. The writing team of Jon Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, Dean Georgaris has just enough of truth, backstory,
comedy, suspense to not get too much stuck in a heady spin, or weighed down.
A One Two punch of quick basic facts and then straight to the reptile-extravaganza.
Brilliant move.
The second theme is clever too.
Finally, it's exciting and good cheese. Did I say foolish fun?
You can actually take a break and come back and still have more to see!
It's for everybody in the family.
Sure it's a B film, but what a Great First Class Cheesey B film it is. You will smile, laugh, cringe, wince all
the good things cheesey films make you do. It's just contagious!
It's a film you watch over and over again, just because.
5/5 cheesey actors
10/10 took their vitamins reptiles
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie!
I was honestly surprised by how much I loved it, but I think it's because this one started out action-
packed and immediately drew you into the tale in a way that I found refreshing and fun! It was actually a
better film than the first one and I was very impressed with Jason Statham's acting in such a caring and
protective role where he was pure of heart and conviction while still smart and adept as always. It was
thrilling to see him tackle a megalodon shark in the way he did and I was also really impressed by the
entire crew.
There were some refreshingly funny comedic scenes and the use of a .50 caliber in impractical but
effective ways. I was both on the edge of my seat and laughing my head off on the random and truly
never knew what to expect next.
3. There were even a few jump scares that caught me entirely off guard but were welcome thrillers to
offset some of the more serious moments. It had heartwarming love and connection at the core of
everything.
Still, the story pushed forward to also give emphasis to the importance of respecting nature and
mankind's obsession with greed constantly getting in the way of coexistence with the other entities that
share our space. I
It was an epic movie, and I would like to say it is one of my favorite films featuring Jason in a lead role -
hands down!
