Lara and Roger Griffiths got off to a flying start in life, having just won the national lottery back in 2005. With two daughters and a young family, they set about acquiring a beautiful mansion to spend the rest of their lives in, but soon things turned for the worse and their new found lottery winning lifestyle grew sour.

Roger Griffiths previously worked as an IT
manager on £38k, whilst Lara Griffiths
worked as performing arts teacher, on
similar pay. They had two young daughters
and lived in a 4 bedroom ex-Council House
in Boston Spa, England.
But in 2005, there lives would drastically
change forever...
8. NATIONAL
LOTTERY
in 2005 Lara and Roger Griffiths won the
National Lottery for £1.8 Million, which
within a few weeks they had already spent
ten's of thousands.

Soon after they both decided to quit their
jobs, to enjoy their new lottery winning
new lifestyle, which included buying a
mansion in Yorkshire, sports cars, 4x4's,
holiday's to Dubai, Monaco, New York, 5

BEAUTY SALON &
PROPERTY
Lara started a beauty salon business
which cost them £100k, which turned
into a loss of almost £4,000 a month.
Roger bought a number of investment
properties, which needed renovating
which he intended to fix and flip for
profit.
CAREER
9. ROCK BAND
Roger reunited his old Lancashire University
friends to form a rock band, they released a
single but it cost £25,000, £1k per month for
a publicist and only sold 600 copies.
NOW
Unfortunately, due to a string of bad
decisions, they lost all their lottery winnings,
divorced, sold the salon at a £70k loss, their
investment property was reposessed, their
daughters have been moved out of private
school and the sports cars are gone.
