The Greek dark ages was a period in ancient Greek history that occurred from approximately 1100 BC to 800 BC. This era followed the late Bronze Age collapse and preceded the Greek Archaic period. It was a transitional period between the end of the Greek Bronze Age and the start of the Greek Iron Age.
