Theater Facebook: The Theater Facebook page accounts for the second highest
number of posts (25%) and has the second highest rate of post engagement at 16%.
Twitter: Twitter represents the majority of Synetic’s social media posts (33%) but only
4% of total engagement.
Tumblr: The main Tumblr page accounts for 22% of total posts, but represents 73% of
total engagement, due in large part to several successful posts about The Tempest.
Synetic on the Move! was launched this summer as a secondary Tumblr, containing
mostly long form blog posts. It accounts for 7% of total posts but only represents 1% of
total engagement, but is still a relatively new way of interacting with our audience.
Instagram: Instagram accounted for 13% of Synetic’s total posts on social media, but
represents only 6% of total engagement.

Twitter
Twitter accounts for 27% of Synetic’s total
followers, second to Facebook’s 57% share. Our
followers increased by 2.4% between 5/17/15 and

These graphs show the type of tweets published on
Synetic’s Twitter account and the type of activity that
Synetic’s tweets received in the four weeks from
5/17/2015 to 4/22/2015.
Retweets of other users accounted for the highest
number of tweets (47%), followed closely by Text-only
(20%). Photos & Videos was a distant third, with Links
and Replies accounting for the fewest tweets.
Activity on Synetic’s tweets can be separated into two
groups, retweets and favorites. Favorites increased
from 62% to 66% from the last audit, while retweets
dropped from 38% of total interactions to 34%.

These two graphs show the total activity and
the average amount of activity on each type
of Tweet during the period from 5/17/15 –
8/15/15. Activity is measured in the number of
favorites and retweets that a tweet receives.
Activity on retweets are not included because
the activity is based on the original tweets of
other users and not Synetic’s Twitter.
Photos and videos generated the highest
interaction rate across post types, with an
average interaction of 3.83 per post. Links
had the lowest average interaction rate per
post (1.4). Part of the reason for this may be
the Do More 24 posts, which generated a lot of
posts with links, but did not garner many
interactions.

Synetic’s Main Tumblr
Over the the 13 weeks (5/23/2015 and 8/15/2015), the main Synetic Tumblr
page had an increase in followers by an astonishing 57%. Even though
the main Tumblr page had a smaller sum of followers then Facebook and
Twitter, it still out grew them. Facebook had an increase of followers by only
4.2% and Twitter had an increase of 2.4%. The Tempest #TBT continues to
pull in the highest amount of notes (11,355+) and attracts more followers to
the page. Because of that, we have concluded that a less “Sales-y”
approach works best on Tumblr. The spike on the The Tumblr Notes bar
graph proves that by just showcasing the extraordinary work Synetic
produces is enough to generate notes. Future post should follow The
Tempest #TBT example.

Instagram saw the third highest increase in followers (23%)
out of all the social media accounts. This is thanks to: pictures
that showed behind the scenes, reposting other people’s pictures
of Synetic, informative content, and humorous GIFs and pictures.
Our follower engagement pie chart shows 99% of our follower
activity are likes while 1% are comments. Like all of our social
media accounts, there are more people following the account
than we are following others as shown by the
Followers/Following pie chart. Even though Facebook has more
followers, it had a smaller Follower Increase (4%) than
Instagram.

Synetic’s Pinterest comprised of a diverse range of content. Not only have we pinned original content on
the account, but we have also repined post that reflect ‘s Synetic’s creative and physical character. New
boards we have added were: A Few of Betty-May’s favorite things, A Tale of Two Cities,
Midsummer Fun, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Alice in Wonderland. Synetic Fitness continues
to be our most popular board. It consists of a fusion between original and repined content. Thanks to the
expanding content on our boards, Synetic’s Pinterest experienced a 3.5% Increase in followers over
13 weeks (5/23/15- 8/15/2015). Even though Synetic’s Pinterest has a lower following than our twitter
account, it has experienced a higher increase in followers than Synetic’s twitter account(2.4%) .
Due to the increasing size of our account, more people following Synetic means that we must continue
to follow those who are fans of our work. 60% of people are following Synetic, while we follow 40%
of people.

More of Synetic’s followers repin (80%)and like (13%) our Non-Synetic pins compared to our original Synetic
repins (5%) and like (2%). Non-Synetic pins are pins that reflect our characteristic and ideas. Though they are not
original pins, it is a positive statistic because followers are enjoying the same ideas as Synetic. Some followers choose
not to follow the entire Synetic account, but pick and choose from different boards to follow. 89% of new individual
board followers follow Non-Synetic boards while 11% follow a Synetic board. This statistic shows that we can be
a thought leader and it is also a fun way of informing people about the type of Theater company we are.

Conclusion:
By keeping all the social media platforms active the number of followers increased.
Theater Facebook: Large following, high activity, helpful in sharing links from other social media platforms
Studio Facebook:: 1-2 post a day kept the page engaging. People enjoyed the motivational posts along with the
pictures. A great way to promote how fun and unique Studio classes./camps are.
Twitter: Large following. Great way to share positive comments from patrons. Twitter is a wonderful tool in engaging
with patrons. Hashtags help increase the number of times people see the tweet.
Main Tumblr: Less sales wording and more showcasing the productions increased notes, which then led to more
followers. Posting GIFs in posts are successful.
Synetic: On The move!: Great start with long form blog posts. Having content that is trendy and tells a story does well.
Posting GIFs in posts are successful.
Instagram: High increase in followers. Using the Repost app to repost images of Synetic Theater from other users
helps generate more likes that leads to new followers. Instead of posting the link on the post, just say “click the link in
the bio” this will lead them to the Synetic Website, which will hopefully point them to the right direction. It is easier for
followers to do this than to type in a long link. Hashtags are also important on Instagram because it will increase the
amount of people that see the picture.
Pinterest: Valuable way to promote visuals for shows as well as. Followers have increased with new hashtags and
links to Synetic website. More followers repin/like our Non-Synetic pins. Perhaps in the future posting Synetic
information along with the Pin could help spread the word about Synetic.
Youtube: Has been a successful medium for trailers and promotion for shows

Twitter: Twitter represents the majority of Synetic’s social media posts (33%) but only 4% of total engagement. Tumblr: The main Tumblr page accounts for 22% of total posts, but represents 73% of total engagement, due in large part to several successful posts about The Tempest. Synetic on the Move! was launched this summer as a secondary Tumblr, containing mostly long form blog posts. It accounts for 7% of total posts but only represents 1% of total engagement, but is still a relatively new way of interacting with our audience. It experienced an increase in followers by 4.2%. 6000 6050 6100 6150 6200 6250 6300 6350 6400 6450 NumberofFollowers Theater Facebook Follower Increase 5/17/15-8/15/15

The bottom graph shows the breakdown of posts by type of post on the main Facebook page from 5/17/15 – 8/15/15. Photos make up the majority of our posts (55%), while links make up 41% of our Theater Facebook page content. Videos and statuses account for a smaller portion of our Facebook content, at 2% each. Photos account for 55% of Facebook posts, and represent 62% of total reactions. Videos and statuses account for 2% of total posts each, but have extremely high average interation (67 and 80 respectively), due to the fact that only two posts of each type were posted from 5/17/15 – 8/15/15. 10.88 23.04 67 80 0 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 Links Photos Videos Status Average Interaction per Facebook Post, by Type 5/17/15 – 8/15/15 22% 62% 7% 9% Total Facebook Interactions by Post Type 5/17/15 – 8/22/15 Links Photos Videos Status
  • 13. Twitter Twitter accounts for 27% of Synetic’s total followers, second to Facebook’s 57% share. Our followers increased by 2.4% between 5/17/15 and 8/15/15. Retweets of other users accounted for the highest number of tweets (47%), followed closely by Text-only (20%). Photos & Videos was a distant third, with Links and Replies accounting for the fewest tweets. Activity on Synetic’s tweets can be separated into two groups, retweets and favorites. Favorites increased from 62% to 66% from the last audit, while retweets dropped from 38% of total interactions to 34%. 34% 66% Twitter Interactions by Type 5/17/15 – 8/15/15 Twitter Retweets Twitter Favorites 30% 27% 3% 40% Type of Tweets by Percentage 5/17/15 – 8/15/15 Link Photo/Video Text Retweets
  • 15. These two graphs show the total activity and the average amount of activity on each type of Tweet during the period from 5/17/15 – 8/15/15. Activity is measured in the number of favorites and retweets that a tweet receives. Activity on retweets are not included because the activity is based on the original tweets of other users and not Synetic’s Twitter. Photos and videos generated the highest interaction rate across post types, with an average interaction of 3.83 per post. Links had the lowest average interaction rate per post (1.4). Part of the reason for this may be the Do More 24 posts, which generated a lot of posts with links, but did not garner many interactions. 51%45% 4% Twitter Activity by Post Type 5/17/15 – 8/15/15 Link Photo/Video Text 1.4 3.83 2 0 0.5 1 1.5 2 2.5 3 3.5 4 4.5 Link Photo/video Text Average Twitter Interactions by Post Type 5/17/15 – 8/15/15
  • 16. Synetic’s Main Tumblr Over the the 13 weeks (5/23/2015 and 8/15/2015), the main Synetic Tumblr page had an increase in followers by an astonishing 57%. Even though the main Tumblr page had a smaller sum of followers then Facebook and Twitter, it still out grew them. Facebook had an increase of followers by only 4.2% and Twitter had an increase of 2.4%. The Tempest #TBT continues to pull in the highest amount of notes (11,355+) and attracts more followers to the page. Because of that, we have concluded that a less “Sales-y” approach works best on Tumblr. The spike on the The Tumblr Notes bar graph proves that by just showcasing the extraordinary work Synetic produces is enough to generate notes. Future post should follow The Tempest #TBT example. 243 293 343 393 443 493 543 593 23-May 30-May 6-Jun 13-Jun 20-Jun 27-Jun 4-Jul 11-Jul 18-Jul 25-Jul 1-Aug 8-Aug 15-Aug #offollowers Main Tumblr Follower Increase 5/17/15-8/15/15 followers 0 1000 2000 3000 23-May 30-May 6-Jun 13-Jun 20-Jun 27-Jun 4-Jul 11-Jul 18-Jul 25-Jul 1-Aug 8-Aug 15-Aug #ofnotesperweek Dates Tumblr Notes 5/17/15-8/15/15

Thanks to the expanding content on our boards, Synetic’s Pinterest experienced a 3.5% Increase in followers over 13 weeks (5/23/15- 8/15/2015). Even though Synetic’s Pinterest has a lower following than our twitter account, it has experienced a higher increase in followers than Synetic’s twitter account(2.4%) . Non-Synetic pins are pins that reflect our characteristic and ideas. Though they are not original pins, it is a positive statistic because followers are enjoying the same ideas as Synetic. Some followers choose not to follow the entire Synetic account, but pick and choose from different boards to follow. 89% of new individual board followers follow Non-Synetic boards while 11% follow a Synetic board.
