4. MCing is derived from the griots (folk poets) of West Africa , and Caribbean -style toasting , and it had found a new place in the ghettos of the Bronx. Usually it was a message about the happenings of the community .

9. Hip-Hop’s Globalization Hip-Hop spread from the South Bronx as a local area culture to a worldwide phenomenon. Much of the material today may be controversial and counter-productive to the reason Hip-Hop was invented, but it still unifies the world and used correctly, can be a powerful tool to educate the youth and do great things.
