Introduction on Calibration
Instrument calibration is one of the primary processes used to maintain instrument
accuracy. Calibration is the process of configuring an instrument to provide a result
for a sample within an acceptable range. Eliminating or minimizing factors that
cause inaccurate measurements is a fundamental aspect of instrumentation design.

Master Data Configuration for Calibration
Step 1 : To Create
equipment master, use
T-Code: IE01
1.Enter Valid On
2.Select Equipment
Category as “Q” for
Quality and Press
“Enter”.

Step 2 : The next screen
appears, Input the details,
1.Description of Equipment.
2.Select object type as “ACLVE”
and scroll down.

Step 3 : The Location tab
1.Select the Calibration Location
as “CAL”
2.Enter Plant Section.
3.Enter work centre.
4.ENter ABC Indicator indicating
the criticality of Equipment.

A.Enter cost centre.
Resposibilites
1.Enter Plant Section.
2.Enter Planner Group.
3.Enter Main work centre.

Step 5 : The PRT tab appears,
Input the details,
1.Select PRT usage as “009” as All
task list types.
2.Input start and End Reference
for setup and execution. Click on
save.

Enter Equipment Number and
Press “ENTER”

After making changes, click on

Enter the Equipment Number.
Enter Key Date and Press
“Enter”.

Click on “Task List” from the Header of the More Option.

This shows the tasklist of the Equipment and Usage status.

It displays the Header and Operation view of the Equipment Tasklists.

Select the Maintenance Plant
Category as “Quality Calib Order”
and Press “Enter”.

“ZCAL” for Quality Confirmation
Order.

Select the Cycle Start date and click on continue.The maintenance plan is created.

Auto update the Equipment Status as Inactive when Calibration is Overdue . Enter the plant
and key date.
Then From header program>Execute in Background.
