The Bear Trail, also known as the Bear Route,
occupies an old platform for a mining train
that travelled throughout the Bear Valleys and
ceased operation in the mid-20th Century. It
was reconverted in the mid-1990s into a
cycling tourism and hiking trail.

Asturias fue pionera en turismo rural, y también lo fue en la creación de marcas de calidad propias, precisamente asociadas a la oferta rural. Así nacieron Casonas Asturianas y Aldeas, dos clubes de producto de alojamientos con encanto.
Asturias posee 5 de las catorce cuevas del arte rupestre paleolítico del norte de España que ahora mismo reconoce la UNESCO como Patrimonio de la Humanidad.
Las cinco cuevas asturianas son: Tito Bustillo (Ribadesella), La Peña(Candamo), Llonín (Peñamellera Alta), Covaciella (Cabrales) y El Pindal (Rivadedeva).
Se trata de las primeras manifestaciones artísticas murales de la historia de la humanidad.
Tito Bustillo reúne algunas de las pinturas y grabados más bellos del Paleolítico, algo que le permite codearse con cuevas de renombre universal como Altamira o la francesa de Lascaux. De La Covaciella destaca su panel y la famosa escena de bisontes.
NOTA sobre visitas:
La cueva original de Tito Bustillo se puede visitar entre abril y noviembre
Candamo es visitable en verano
El Pindal está abierta todo el año
Llonín y La Covaciella están cerradas al público, pero se pueden visitar las reproducciones en el Parque de la Prehistoria de Teverga.
