WORK EXPERIENCE
June-July 2013 & November-January 2014; Civil Engineering Department of Ove Arup (Zimbabwe), Intern (part-time). Worked on the following:
Site work (earth dam & canal construction site)
Responsibilities: Observation of placement and compaction of core and embankment material, concrete pouring, sand drainage layer addition, masonry wall construction, rock toe placement, concrete placement on the drains and construction of cut-off drains. Participation in the taking of levels of fill layers after compaction, soil property testing, updating design maps on AutoCAD and surveying of site. Checked formwork for outlet pipes and masonry walls. Completed risk assessment forms and took minutes at site meetings.

Responsibilities: Stormwater drainage design, design and layout of a sewer network and road design.
