4. Focused Objectives for AYUSH
Mainstreaming the potential of AYUSH by-

iv) AYUSH orientation to grass root health workers and village
health-sanitation and nutrition committees.

6. NATIONALAYUSH MISSION
The Government of India has launched the National AYUSH Mission in
2014 with the objectives of:
Providing cost effective AYUSH Services through upgrading AYUSH
Hospitals & Dispensaries, & co-location at PHCs, CHCs and DHs
 Upgradation of AYUSH Educational Institutions
Upgradation of ASU & H Pharmacies, Drug Testing Laboratories &
strengthening of ASU & H drug enforcement mechanism
Supporting the cultivation of medicinal plants to provide sustained
supply of quality raw-materials

10. Central and State Share pattern:
• Special Category States (NE States and hilly States of Himachal Pradesh,
Uttrakhand, UT of Jammu and Kashmir):-Grant-in-aid component-90%
and State share-10%
• Other States & UTs with legislature-Centre State sharing pattern:-60% :
40%.
• UTs without legislature :- UTs without legislature 100% will be funded by
the Government of India GIA.
