Blades can be adjusted in discrete pitch settings
of 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 inches with a 6 inch pitch as
the mid pitch setting.

Parts 2 and 3 are ProPulse parts 6201-0 and
4301-0 that have been bored out to accept part
1 which mates with the Minn-Kota 101 lower unit.

Blade, item number 8, has the same root
configuration as the OTS ProPulse blade.

The assembled variable pitch propeller assembly
attaches to the Minn-Kota lower unit shaft with a
flat washer and locking nut.

While the weight of the new variable speed
propeller is greater than the aftermarket Kipawa
80 three blade propeller currently installed on the
R300, ballast in a stern compartment of the R300
is required for longitudinal trim so a portion of
this ballast will be removed to gain longitudinal
trim when two of the new variable pitch
propellers are installed on the R300.

This variable pitch propeller is designed to be
installed in a Wageningen ducted propeller
series, nozzle no. 37 which is optimized for both
ahead and astern operations. The combination of
the variable speed propeller with the accelerating
ducted nozzle is expected to yield incremental
thrust as compared to the Minn Kota model
MKP-33 two bladed propellers. 1
