Bonfire Media Incorporated (Jan 2005 - March 2016) - Operations Engineer
Leading developer of mobileapplications for smartphones and featurephones
• Created and maintained over 40 virtual and physical servers running linux, tomcat7 and MySQL.
• During my time at Bonfire, the company went from 12 server to over 40 servers. With a
combination of virtual cloud and physical servers spread out over 10 different ISP. Creating and
putting a new server went decreased from several days to under 1 hour due to the use of scripts and
imaging.
• Created and maintained several MySQL 4.1.22 databaseenvironments of millions of users
• Wrote several scripts in Python, PERL, and bin/bash to automate and make easier the deployment
of servers, the monitoring of performance, and backups. In my time, the deployment of new servers
decreased from several days to 1 hour.
• Primary contact for company customer support.
• Responsible for launching and maintaining apps on Google Apps Marketplace. Launched over 100
apps generating over 1 million unique users.
