Costa Coffee is running a limited time Easter special offering a hot chocolate that enters customers into a draw to win an Easter basket. The radio advertisement produced by the student features a male voiceover describing the special and hot chocolate mug promotion, followed by a female voiceover identifying Costa Coffee as the nation's favorite coffee shop. While testing different music and sound effects, the student landed on playing gentle jazz music quietly behind the male voiceover and opted not to include planned slurping sounds, feeling the final version was effective as is.

Music slowly fades out
This is my final script which was chosen for the Costa Coffee radio advert which I have
produced. I didn’t change many things on my script, but the main thing that I did was the
music. Originally I was going to use ‘Kiss- I was made for loving you’ for 7 seconds before
the voice over but it sounded boring and I needed more music or sound FX to catch the
audience’s attention. I also planned to use a slurping and blending sound FX but in the end I
decided not to because I was happy with my final result. I wanted a British voice over of both
female and male so I used two different people with Salford accents.
