certainlymadeahugeimpactonthepeoplewho

membersapproachedthestadium,theguywho
wastheMCsaidthroughthemicrophone“And
thenextgroupupistheSSIGwhichstandsfor
theSamoaSolidarityInternationalGroupfromtheSamoaSolidarityInternationalGroupfrom
New Zealand...andtobefollowedbyanother
SSIGgroupfrom theUSA…etc”.Wewerethe
onlygroupthatturnedright,facingthecrowd
chantingandwavingtothem withsmallflags
providedbytheNew ZealandSSIGbranch.
Perhapsinthefuture,SSIGshouldhaveitsown
professionalphotographertomakesurethatallprofessionalphotographertomakesurethatall
theshotsfrom everyspotandanglearecovered
forourownuseandpurposes.How nicetohave
onefrom thestadium whenwedidthesalute
witheveryoneholdingtheirflagsupandwith
thesmilesontheirfaces.

Weassistedthem withinformationandexam-

thisissue.TheyrequestedifSSIGcouldhelp
them withlegalchallengeagainstthegovern-
ment.Wedirectedthem toSapoluLaw firm
foralltheirlegalrequirementstheyneed.

Thetwovillagesweresteadfastagainstthe
governmentplanstousecustomarylandsforgovernmentplanstousecustomarylandsfor
mortgagesandagainsttheLTRAlaw 2008.
Sa’asaaipromotedtheideaofSSIGhavinga
politicalarm tocontestthe2021generalele-
ctionsinSamoa.Butunlessthereisstrong
sourceoffunds,itwouldbedifficulttolaunch
astrongcampaignagainsttheHRRPinany
futureelections,saysanex-MemberofParli-futureelections,saysanex-MemberofParli-
ament.Inrebuttal,wepromotedthepower
ofeducationthanmoneyoverthenext10
yearsormoreforthemessageSSIGispromo-
tingifweeverwantedtochangethegovern-
ment

PULEisestablishedachangeofgovernment
mightnotbeapossibility.Themajorityinthis
