2. The History of Pizza
The precursor of pizza was probably
the focaccia, a flat bread known to the
Romans as "panis focacius” to which
toppings were then added. Modern
pizza originated in Italy as the
Neapolitan flatbread.

3. Pizza Margherita
Legend says that the first pizza ever created was called The
Margherita Pizza on June 1889 in honor of visiting the Queen
Margherita out of the three different pizza’s a man had made.
She preferred a pie made of the colors of the Italian flag. Red
(tomato) green (basil) and white (mozzarella). Then after that it
was named after the queen as Pizza Margherita.
