1. THE DOMINION

2. CONCEPT
• Thousands of years in the future, humans have colonized every planet of the Solar System (now called
the ‘Dominion of Gaia’), with each planet acting as a planet-sized city with specific functions that aid
the Dominion.
• Each of these planets has a ‘lord’ ruling over their respective planets politics, with the ruler of Jupiter
being the Supreme Lord of the Dominion.
• Each ruler is named after the Greek/Roman god attributed to each planet and each planet’s function
matches with the god’s function as well as the real physical attributes of the planets.

3. THE LORDS AND THEIR PLANETS
• Lord Hermes is the ruler of Mercury, the Dominion’s industrial planet. He takes care of industry, the retention and delivery of cargo. Being the
closes planet to the Sun, the Dominion also placed their valuables deep inside the planet’s centre, which leads to a lot of thievery.
• Lady Aphrodite is the ruler of Venus and the only non-human lord as she is an android, the most intelligent ever created, named as such as the
people of the Dominion slowly are seeing AI as the true beauty. Venus acts as a planet-sized research base, making potentially dangerous
experiments safer due to the uninhabitable climate.
• Lady Terra is the sister of Lord Civitas and ruler of Earth, which is very similar to 21st century Earth but more technologically advanced. Earth
and Jupiter (to us) would look like the only ‘normal’ planets.
• Supreme Lord Zeus is the ruler of Jupiter and leader of the Dominion. He and the rest of the high and middle classes of his citizens live in
multiple flying cities that roam the atmosphere of the planet, they collectively make a sort of a capital city. However, Zeus’ son, Prometheus,
disagrees with his father’s ideology and is seen as a man of the people, therefore, the pubic prefer him over his father.
• Imperator Ares III is the ruler of Mars, the only planet to not be part of the Dominion. After a civil war, the people of Mars now live separately
from the rest of the planets and heavily disagree with their ideals, especially the ideals of Lord Zeus.
• Lord Cronus is the ruler of Saturn which is nicknamed ‘Historia’ due to the planet’s museum-like function. It preserves 1 group of every known
lifeform, animal and plant, from every planet of the Dominion (including Mars) as to research them and to prevent their extinction.
• Lord Civitas is the brother of Lady Terra and ruler of Uranus, the first and only planet to be successfully terraformed to be like Earth. Because of
this, it’s the only other planet, aside from Earth, to most be ‘normal’.
• Lord Poseidon is the ruler of Neptune and commander of the Dominion’s army, air force and navy. The planet therefore acts as a giant military
base. Because (aside from Pluto) it is the furthest planet out, expeditions to find other planets are easy to begin from here.
• Lord Hades is the ruler of Pluto, nicknamed the ‘Prison Planet’, named as such due to all criminals are sent to Pluto for punishment. However,
life for the inmates of Pluto is barbaric and cruel as they are treated poorly by Lord Hades.

4. THE MARTIAN REVOLUTION
• The reason that Mars separated themselves from the Dominion.
• Mars was originally ruled by Lord Ares I and was part of the Dominion, however one day Lord Ares was
murdered in his sleep and the killer was never found.
• Due to political sway, the Martian people decided to revolt against the Dominion and fought against
Dominion control over the planet. This led to a civil war across the planet and surrounding space.
• The five (Earth) year war ended after a peace treaty was signed that allowed Mars to live as its own
independent planet but would receive no aid from the Dominion.
• Even though the war ended somewhat peacefully, the people of Mars are still bitter against the
Dominion and their new ruler, Imperator Ares III, is seen as a war monger who wants to start an all out
war against Zeus, for unknown reasons.

5. THE RACES
• Three races inhabit the Dominion:
• Gaians (humans) - While Humans have different belief systems across the Dominion, they are all
considered one race. They are the same race that left Earth to colonise every planet and still refer to
themselves as humans at certain occasions. Gaians may also name themselves depending on what
planet they live on (e.g. Mercury = Mercians, Saturn = Saturnians).
• Androids - Humanoid robots who aid the Gaians, with higher intelligence and no free will for the most
part, except for Lady Aphrodite who is the only android permitted to have somewhat free will. The
reason for this is that she, like all other androids, follows Asimov's Laws of Robotics and is, therefore,
not seen as a danger to Gaians.
• Martians – These are Gaians that live on Mars and while they are not that dissimilar from normal
Gaians, their extreme belief system and the fact that Mars is not part of the Dominion make them a
separate race.

6. PANDORA’S BOX
• Pandora’s Box is an elusive item in the Dominion, for most of the population, it’s simply a legend.
• The Box was created thousands of years ago by an unknown person, said to hold all the evil in the universe
(hence the name), though what that evil actually was has never been figured out. The Box’s casing is covered
with puzzles, locks and symbols that no one has ever been able to decipher and because of this and the Box’s
nature, many who come across it, don’t want to open it.
• The Box’s history, mystery and power has made it a very sawt after item, but dangerous for those who have it
in their possession as many will try to assassinate you or rob you in order to get it themselves. This infinite
game of hot potato has made tracking it almost impossible, and potentially disastrous if found in the wrong
hands.
• The person who was been able to keep hold of the Box for the longest is Lady Aphrodite, due to her influence
in the Dominion. She kept it for research purposes, but even though she is the most intelligent being in the
Dominion, she was only able to translate a single symbol on the Box’s casing: ‘void’. However, the Box was
soon stolen from Venus with the help of the Lady’s closest companion, Dr Mico, and the cycle continued.

7. (EX)DR GALEN MICO -PROTAGONIST
• Galen Mico was once a researcher on Venus, working closely with Lady Aphrodite in researching
Pandora’s Box. The two were considered companions as they unearthed the mysteries of the Box, even
a relationship started to form, breaking Aphrodite’s programming.
• However, after the Lady’s infamous discovery of the translated symbol and the Box’s energy negatively
rubbing off onto Galen (similarly to the Ring of Power in LotR), he decided to tip off some thieves about
the Box’s location and ways to rob it, so the Box was stolen from Venus.
• Aphrodite, whilst at the time not able to feel (or more accurately, understand) human emotions, was
not angered by the betrayal but understood that Galen had gone against his oath and was forced to fire
him and banish him from Venus. The lead to Galen being arrested and sent to Pluto for 1 ‘Earthyear’.
• To this day, Galen’s reasoning for betraying Aphrodite is that he believed that no one should be
responsible for the Box’s power, especially after what he and Aphrodite publicly and privately
discovered about the Box.

8. THE PLOT (1)
• Galen Mico is an ex-research scientist who is being let free from his time on Pluto, his crime is unknown to the
audience at this point. He returns to his home planet, Uranus, with no job or immediate family.
• After returning home from a bar one night, he is abducted by a gang and taken to an abandoned warehouse, they seek
Pandora’s Box. They force him to say what the code for the Box is and after he tells them that he didn’t steal the box,
but merely tipped off the guys who did and doesn’t know any ‘code’, a group of Dominion Drones (Dominion Law
Enforcement) start shooting at the gang through some windows. Galen takes this chance to escape but picks up a
letter that one of the goons dropped before making a swift exit.
• Back at home, he reads the letter and discovers that the group who originally stole the Box stored in a safe on Mercury
but were later killed trying to protect its location. Galen deduces that the Box is still on Mercury and decides that he
needs to return it to Lady Aphrodite and so needs a way of getting the Box back.
• Galen decides to meet with an old friend of his who is a successful but retired thief called Philoi. The two meet at a bar
and discuss how they will collect the Box, they ultimately decide to perform a heist and rob it from Mercury and then
return the Box to Venus. Philoi says he will find a group who will perform the heist with Galen and from there, the plan
begins.
