Causes ofthe Problem
 Digging of gutter sand by people living around the place
 Erosion
What has been done so far
 Attention of the government had been called but the excuse was that there
is no fund
 Communities have contributed fund for the repair but was insufficient. It
was done halfway and abandoned.

2. Approach View From Arulogun
The present state of this road is not encouraging, the road is almost cutting into
2, and if nothing drastic is not done before the commencement of raining
season, there is likelihood that these communities will be cut off very soon from
the town
If left unattended
 Communities will be cut off and there will difficulties of movement in
and out of the communities
 Businesses along the road will be disturbed
 Lateness to schoolfor children
 Goods will not get to the market on time
 Hike in price of food items and other product
There is a need for effective policies and programs as well as finding innovative
ways to finance development. I have a case study of a damage road connecting
many communities in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

3. ProposedSolutionfor Sourcing Fund for the Repairof the Road
 Liase with the communities
 Improve domestic resource mobilisation in the state (Okonjo- Iweala,
2015)
 The federal government can assist the state by providing matching grant.
