4. About the Project
 The basic idea behind this project is to design a calling bell with a micro
controller based switch arrangement. If any person will press the door
bell, automatically the message will be generated through the ZigBee
module to wrist band of deaf and dumb person and to the ringer, so that
they will be able to know that someone is calling at the door.
 The ZigBee technology along with a lcd display and a set of
templates(ex-I am busy right now, talk to you later/I have received your
text) is used for a dumb person to communicate.
 A vibrator is also attached to the wrist band, so that deaf and dumb
person may know that a message has arrived.

 Earlier the bells which were used for domestic and medical purposes
were wired along with buzzer in them.
 Due to advancement in technology now a days we are also getting
wireless calling bells to improve the living standard.
 But the existing technology didn’t satisfy the need of all differently
abled people.
 So we took a initiative and started working for the deaf and dumb
people.

We are developing a embedded system using AT89S52
microcontroller which is used for ZigBee based calling bell for deaf
and dumb.
If some one types a message and press the switch then an alert
message (SMS) is send to the authorized person who is wearing the
bracelet model through the ZigBee.
Simultaneously through the RF module a ring is also generated in the
ringer .
A normal short conversation can be done by the authorized person
with the outsider.

13. Software Implementation
. Keil software programming using assembly language.
 Keil compiler is a software used where the machine language code
is written and compiled. After compilation, the machine source
code is converted into hex code which is to be dumped into the
microcontroller for further processing. Keil compiler also supports
C language code.
Proteus software
 The Proteus is a simulation package tool that permits real time
debugging of codes and circuit on the system. This Proteus VSM
tool even permits the real interface of the mobile station / modem
with the computer system, permitting all necessary tests to be
performed.

14. Usefulness of The Project
 The model can be a useful asset for deaf and dumb people to
communicate with the outside world.
 This can also be useful for medical purpose for communicating
with the medical attendants and vice versa.
 Very much useful in household purposes.

16. Conclusions
 The purpose of this project is to provide an advanced ZigBee
based calling bell, with an bracelet displaying text message
that is interfaced wirelessly.
 Based upon these criteria, the technologies are provided,
evolution and recommendations are given for next-generation
calling bell.
 This project also can be used in the DOMESTIC purpose.
