3. Pengertian Filsafat
Idealisme
Idealisme adalah suatu pandangan berdasarkan realitas yang berkaitan erat dengan ide, fikir
an atau jiwa. Dalam aliran idealisme ini dikenal dengan istilah arche. Arche adalah ruangan yang
tidak mempunyai batas dan tumpuan yang paling akhir dari idea. Arche dianggap sebagai tempat
kembalinya kesempurnaan yang disebut dunia idea dengan Tuhan. Arche sifatnya kekal dan sedik
it pun tidak mengalami perubahan.
Secara umum kata idealis berarti :
 Seseorang yang menerima ukuran moral, estetika, dan agama
 Orang yang dapat melukiskan dan menganjurkan suatu rencana atau
program yang belum ada.

4. Sejarah Filsafat Idealisme
Secara historis, idealisme diformulasikan dengan jelas pada abad IV sebelum
masehi oleh Plato (427-347 SM). Semasa Plato hidup kota Athena adalah kota ya
ng berada dalam kondisi transisi (peralihan). Peperangan bangsa Persia telah me
ndorong Athena memasuki era baru. Seiring dengan adanya peperangan
-peperangan tersebut, perdagangan dan perniagaan tumbuh subur dan orang
-orang asing tinggal diberbagai penginapan Athena dalam jumlah besar untuk me
raih keuntungan mendapatkan kekayaan yang melimpah. Dengan adanya hal itu,
muncul berbagai gagasan-gagasan baru ke dalam lini budaya bangsa Athena.
Gagasan-gagasan baru tersebut dapat mengarahkan warga Athena untuk mengkri
tisi pengetahuan & nilai-nilai tradisional.
Saat itu pula muncul kelompok baru dari kalangan pengajar (para Shopis. Ajaran
nya memfokuskan pada individualisme, karena mereka berupaya menyiapkan
warga untuk menghadapi peluang baru terbentuknya masyarakat niaga.
Penekanannya terletak pada individualisme, hal itu disebabkan karena adanya pe
rgeseran dari budaya komunal masa lalu menuju relativisme dalam bidang keper
cayaan dan nilai.
