Hungarian folk singer Monica Miczura, known as Mitsou, has filed a lawsuit against Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Timbaland claiming that the opening 13 seconds of Beyoncé's hit "Drunk in Love" uses her recording of the Roma folk song "Bajba, Bajba Pelem" without permission. Mitsou argues that her song was manipulated and used to evoke foreign eroticism in "Drunk in Love" without her consent. She is seeking damages and wants to prohibit anyone from playing "Drunk in Love" if it contains her recording.
